An invitation to pause and reflect
In a fast paced life, where we are constantly trying to keep up with ongoing information and tasks, I believe it has become more important to also allow recovery.
I find peace of mind in the creative process and hope to pass this on to whoever views my work in the end.
If you let your eyes stay on the paintings for a little longer than you expect, hopefully you will see more in the painting than you did at a first glance.
In every painting there is a hidden story to be told. Possibly you see it too and find it inviting to pause and reflect.
”Art is a corner of creation seen through temperament”
Èmile Zola
Nature is my model, reflecting a mood is my mission
I find most of my motives in the surrounding landscapes and nature. This is where I make sketches, take photographs and collect items to use in my creative process.
I often mix media to achieve the effect I’m looking for. I also blend in the material I’ve collected as I believe it helps build authentism.
I want my artwork to reflect an experience rather than letting physical objects dominate.
What inspires?
Life itself is an endless source of inspiration. I pay attention to how we relate to the surrounding world, to our own life and to others.
Please, stay and see more
